Section 01

Welcome

Start here before using the GMIS music studio. These rules apply to everyone using or supporting the space.

Studio rules

  • No food or drinks inside the Control Room or near any equipment
  • Do not touch rack equipment unless you are trained to do so
  • Always place instruments back on their stands or in their cases after use
  • Book the studio in advance through the GMIS PIC
  • Clean up cables and return microphones to their designated location
  • Report any damage or malfunction immediately — do not try to fix hardware yourself

Emergency procedures

01

Power emergency

If you smell burning, see smoke, or hear unusual noise from the rack: turn OFF the Ashley PD10 sequencer immediately. This safely powers down all equipment in sequence.

02

Equipment damage

Do not attempt repairs. Stop using the affected device, leave it where it is, and contact the GMIS PIC. They will escalate to ACTA Support.

03

Liquid spill

Power down the affected zone via PD10 sequencer first. Then use a dry cloth — never plug anything back in until ACTA confirms it is safe.

04

Lost or missing item

Report immediately to the GMIS PIC. Do not move other equipment to search — keep the scene as-is so it can be reviewed.
