The S16 brings microphone and instrument inputs from the recording and rehearsal room into the X32 Rack through one digital connection. It prevents the room from needing many long analog cables into the Control Room.
It is the main bridge between performers and Logic Pro. If a microphone is plugged into the recording and rehearsal room, the S16 is usually the first major point in the signal path.
