Actionable suggestions

1

Use WAV for archive or future editing

WAV keeps the original recording quality and is recommended for editing, mixing, or long-term storage.

Example

Use WAV, 24-bit, 48 kHz for studio archive.

2

Use MP3 for quick sharing

MP3 is smaller and easier to send. It is appropriate for class review, rehearsal feedback, or parent-friendly listening links.

Example

Use MP3 320 kbps when quality still matters.

3

Export stems for mixing or collaboration

Stems are separate grouped exports such as drums, instruments, vocals, or playback tracks.

Example

Export separate vocal and instrument stems for remix or editing.

4

Save exports in the correct folder

Keep exported files organized so they are easier to find later.

Example

Folder: GMIS Studio / Exports / 2026 / Class name.

5

Use clear file names

Include the date, class, song title, or version in the file name.

Example

[YYYY-MM-DD]_[Class]_[Song Title]_[Band Name]
