Before you start
Steps
Set classroom listening volume
Start low and raise the speaker volume until the room can hear clearly without strain. Keep speech intelligible.
Connect the demonstration source
Use the Mac, phone, keyboard, microphone, or instrument source needed for the lesson. Confirm the signal appears on the X32.
Recall class demo scene
If available, recall the Class Demo scene. It should provide safe routing for playback, announcement microphone, and visual feedback on the iPad.
If a scene looks wrong, stop and ask the GMIS PIC before changing routing.
Show visual feedback
Use X32 Edit to show how input signal, meters, and level changes respond to sound.
Rotate performers safely
Swap instruments one performer at a time. Mute channels before changing cables or microphones.
Return to default
After class, lower volume, stop playback, return instruments, and restore the default scene if a special class setup was used.
